Check or Checkmate? Do you play chess or are you interested in learning? If you would like to be part of a chess club, we have the right one for you. Our chess club will meet on Tuesdays, May 12th & 19th and 26th. New players welcome! Sign up any night the club meets.

Shake & Make Ice Cream
Thursday, May 14th 7pm
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!! Join us for a fun and delicious ice cream making program, then enjoy a delicious ice cream sundae!This class may contain food allergens.

TEEN JOB STYLE WORKSHOP
Monday, May 18th 7pm
Looking for a summer job? This workshop will help tweens and teens prepare, practice and acquire this incredibly vital skill set. We will address the specific needs of today's young job seekers including: obtaining working papers, job applications, references, resume writing, cover letters, dressing for success, interviewing, networking, and college application preparation. Get the training you need to become the best candidate!

TEEN Paint Nite
Wednesday, May 20th 7-8:30pm
Join us for a fun night of socializing, painting and smoothies! All painters will work on the same image while the instructor takes you through each step. No painting knowledge necessary. Bring home a masterpiece that you will be proud to hang on your wall. You may find your inner artist! All materials provided. Open to grades 5 and up.

Beach Bag Book Club
Wednesday, June 10th 7pm
It’s baaaack!! We have once again teamed up with the Merrick and North Merrick Library to bring back the Beach Bag Book Club. At each event, hosted by young adult author Jen Calonita (Secrets of My Hollywood Life and Belles series), teens will get to discuss a book pre-selected for them with not only Ms. Calonita, but with the author of the book itself! We are starting our club off with a bang, hosting best selling authors, Carolyn Mackler and Jenny Han. You will not want to miss this event! Everyone that signs up gets a beach bag to tote all of your favorite books around in this summer. The event will take place at the Merrick Library. There will be snacks and raffles. Sign up in advance online or at the Adult Reference Desk. Open to grades 6 and up.
