Tuesdays,
February 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th from
3:30-4:15pm
Teens and
children become “buddies” by sharing
books and a positive library experience. Children get a chance to practice
their reading skills and/or be read to while teens gain volunteer
experience, and a chance to make a difference in a child’s life. Please

wanted to learn how to play chess? Now is your chance! Join instructor Joel Salman on Tuesdays, February 4th and 18th and
March 4th & 18th to learn
the basics while our more seasoned players will learn
new chess strategies and challenge
new opponents. We have chess players of all skill levels. Whether you're an
expert at the Queen's Gambit or you're just graduating from checkers, there is
a spot for you in the Chess Club. New players welcome! No
registration required.
WRITER’S WORKSHOP with MATT BLACKSTONE
Tuesdays,

Do you
like to write? Do you want to improve your skills in this area? Local author,
Matt Blackstone, will teach you the techniques to write like a pro! He will
also discuss his new book, SORRY YOU’RE LOST. There
will be a reading from his book, a book raffle and signing. Copies of
the book will be available for purchase on the night of the event. Don’t

DR. SEUSS’ BIRTHDAY PARTY
Sunday, March 2nd, 2pm
“You have
brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any
direction you choose.” We hope you choose to volunteer to help at our birthday
bash for the one and only- Dr. Seuss! We’ll host children ages 3 and up
and read stories, play games, do crafts, and more! Please register
in advance!
SAT PREP COURSE
Learn
tricks and techniques for taking the SATs.
Enhance
your math and verbal skills while learning test taking strategies that can help
you get a higher score. This 6 week course will be held from 6:45-8:45pm on the following Thursday evenings: March 6th, 13th,
20th and April 3rd, 17th and May 1st. An
$80 check, payable to Melissa Bielawski, is required at registration. Students
must purchase McGraw-Hill’s SAT I Book, 2014 edition for class. We
have limited copies for sale at the Reference Desk for $5. Please
