MOTHER'S DAY CRAFT
Tuesday, May 3rd, 7-8PM
Join us to paint a unique flower pot, and create a personalized gift bag and card to show Mom how much you appreciate her. Please sign-up in advance at the Adult Reference Desk. Open to grades 5-12.

PARENTS OF FUTURE COLLEGE STUDENTS
Thursday, May 5th, 7-8:30PM
Are you stressing over the college admission and financial aid process? Are you prepared for your role in your child's college life? How can striving parents survive and thrive as they cope with their student's college years? Find out from a POCS (Parent Of a College Student). Join Wendy David-Gaines, POCSmom and author of Parents of College Students Survival Stories. This seminar will be chock full of helpful tips, humor and parental empathy. All are welcome!

MAKE A PILLOW CRAFT
Monday, May 23rd, 7-8PM
Tie together warm fleecy material to make pillows for a local shelter. All participants will receive community service and a certificate. Please sign up in advance at the Adult Reference Desk. Open to grades 6-12.

BEACH BAG BOOK CLUB
Wednesday, May 25th, 4:45PM
We have teamed up again with the Merrick, North Merrick and Bellmore Library to bring back the Beach Bag Book Club. At each event, hosted by yound adult author Jen Calonita (Secrets of My Hollywood Life series), teens will get to discuss a book pre-selected for them with not only Ms. Calonita, but with the author of the book itself. We are starting our club off with a bang, hosting Joanna Philbin, daughter of Regis and author of the amazing Daughters series. For the first time our BBB Club will be open to our teens and their mothers (or a guest). Everyone that signs up gets a beach bag to tote all of your favorite books around in this summer. Sign up in advance at the Adult Reference Desk - space is limited!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The friends of the Library are hosting a plant sale on Saturday, May 7th, and they need your help! All participants will receive community service credit. There are 2 shifts available; 9:30-12:30PM or 12:30-3:30PM. If interested, sign up at the Adult Reference Desk.

CHESS CLUB

Our chess club will meet on Tuesday's, May 10th & 24th and June 7th & 21st. New players welcome! Sign up any night the club meets.

LEGO CLUB
Tuesdays, May 10th & June 7th, 3:30-4:30PM
Join us to practice your crazy Lego buidling skills. We provide the Legos - you create the masterpiece. Open to grades 4-9. No registration required.

TEEN ADVISORY GROUP
Tuesdays, May 24th, 3:30-4:30PM
Join TAG and share your opinions about what you would like to see and do at NBL. Earn community service credit and have fun!

MANGA CLUB
Thursday, May 26th & June 6th, 4-5PM
Join us after school to read and discuss manga. We will chat about storylines, characters and artwork. No registration required.
